Last but not least

Steak 'N Shake. When I arrived to the speaker I was surprised to hear "Welcome to Steak 'N Shake, thank you for doing it the right way and choosing us tonight, what can I get for you?" I ordered a small fry but turns out that the smallest fry they have is a regular fry, which was slightly bigger than all the other places. So that had to do. He asked me if I would like anything else and I politely declined. I pulled around to the window where my total was $2.18 and he informed me that he was going to make me fresh fries if I had about three minutes to spare. He said "I hate going places and getting the old fries, so it would be my pleasure to have a fresh batch for you." I waited about two minutes and got my fries, he let me know that he put ketchup and salt in the bag so I could salt them myself. This was by far the best customer service I have ever experienced in a drive thru. I wasn't sure if he was treating me this way because he saw me writing things down or what. But when I actually thought about it, that couldn't be right because he was this way before I even pulled up to the window. The fries were obviously fresh and not over salted. They are the smallest fries compared to all the other resturaunts, so that's probably why the smallest size they have was larger than the rest.

Next stop

Mcdonalds. The same typical greeting was said here as well, "Welcome to Mcdonalds, How may I help you?" I asked if I could have one moment and she told me to take my time and let her know when I was ready (A more pleasant response than the previous at Burger King). I ordered a small fry and she said, "if everything looks correct on the screen your total is $1.10 and you may pull up to the first window." It took about three minutes total to go to both windows and recieve my food due to the car in front of me. But it was worth the wait because my fries were fresh. The service at Mcdonalds was so far the best, but a down side was the fries were a little over salted. But then again, that is to be expected from Mcdonalds.

Wendys

The next stop was Wendy's. When I arrived to this drive thru there was one person in front of me. After about two minutes, it was my turn to pull up to the intercom. As soon as I got there the employee said "I'll be with you in a moment, I'm so sorry." Less than a minute passed and she asked if she could help me. The employee sounded rather nervous and apologetic. I told her I would like a small fry and my total came up to $1.09. My fries were hot and not over salted! Wendy's has the natural cut fries with sea salt. This was the first time I had them and I was suprised at the taste. I expected them to be weird, or something that I didn't like, but they were actually good. The serivce wasn't bad, seeing how the employee was being trained, and the fries were fresh. No complaints about Wendys.

First stop

Burger king. I pulled into the drive thru, with noone in front of me, and was greeted with a "welcome to Burger King, can I help you?" At every drive thru I asked for a minute just to see the response of the employee. In this case the employee just didn't say anything. Caught off gaurd, I proceeded on to tell her I was ready and would like a small fry. She told me my total was $1.10. But then when i pulled up to the window her exact words were, "My fault, I meant $1.38, ketchup or naw?" I recieved my fries shortly after, BUT they were cold. Burger King had the biggest fries out of all these fast food resturaunts I visited. The fries were too salty and cold. The drive thru experience along with the cold product puts Burger King at the bottom of the list.

SO MANY CHOICES

Burger King. Wendy's. Mcdonald's. Steak 'N Shake. Which fast food place would you choose if you just simply have the taste for french fries? I went to all four of these drive thrus with a notepad so I could write down my experience; allowing me to compare many different things that lead to my ultimate decision
